Your the Valley Dentist

Shenandoah Dental Center sits on I-81 in Weyers Cave — at the heart of the central Shenandoah Valley. Patients from across Augusta County, southern Rockingham County, and the I-81 corridor make us their dental home.

The Shenandoah Valley is wide, rural, and beautifully connected by one main artery: I-81. We built our practice on that artery, halfway between Staunton and Harrisonburg, so patients from north and south of us can reach the office in about 15 minutes. Decades-long Valley families and BRCC students alike find us here.

On the I-81 spine

Exit 235 in Weyers Cave — almost exactly halfway between Staunton (Exit 222) and Harrisonburg (Exit 245). The Valley's main road is your driveway.

Rooted in the Valley

The agricultural heritage of Augusta County — FFA birthplace, Polyface Farm, family farms across the hills — shapes how we work: steady, honest, and built for the long haul.

Bilingual practice

Hablamos español — atención completa para todas las comunidades hispanohablantes del Valle de Shenandoah.

Open all 5 weekdays

Mon–Fri 8 AM – 5 PM. Including a full Friday, which most Valley dental offices don't offer.

One office for the whole central Valley

The Valley runs almost 200 miles from Lexington up to Winchester — but the central stretch where most residents live and work is concentrated between Lexington and New Market, with Staunton and Harrisonburg as the two anchor cities. Our office sits in the middle of that stretch. From our parking lot at 81 Franklin Street you can be in downtown Staunton in 15 minutes, downtown Harrisonburg in 15 minutes, Waynesboro in 30, Lexington in 35, and New Market in about 30. The corridor is the constant.

We see Valley patients from Augusta County (Verona, Fishersville, Stuarts Draft, Crimora, Fort Defiance), Rockingham County (Bridgewater, Dayton, Mt. Crawford, Penn Laird, Broadway, Linville), and along Route 340 from Grottoes through Elkton to Shenandoah and Luray. Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway feed us a steady stream of patients from Page County and the eastern side of Massanutten Mountain. Down south, families come up I-81 from Buena Vista and Lexington for appointments that line up with a Lowe's or VMI errand.

Built for Valley life

The Valley is still farm country at its core, with manufacturing (Hershey in Stuarts Draft, McKee Foods in Stuarts Draft, Merck in Elkton, Coors-Molson and Cargill in Rockingham County), healthcare (Augusta Health, Sentara RMH), and the college towns of JMU and Mary Baldwin holding the center. Our 5-day week — including a full Friday — was built around that mix. If you milk in the morning, work a manufacturing shift, teach in a county school, or run a small business in town, we'll book you when it actually works.

The Valley's Spanish-speaking community is strong across both Augusta and Rockingham counties — we run entire visits in Spanish, paperwork to consent forms. And for the Valley's uninsured residents — independent farmers, contractors, gig workers, retirees on Medicare without dental coverage — the Virginia Dental Club covers cleanings, exams, and X-rays for one flat annual fee. No deductibles, no claim forms, no waiting periods.
